Ever stood on a factory floor and watched things get made?   Today, you can get pretty close. It's Manufacturing Day, and nearly 2,000 manufacturers — from Portland, Oregon to Pryor Creek, Oklahoma to Sarasota, Florida — are opening their factory doors. That's because they want to showcase to the world exactly what 21st century advanced manufacturing looks like in America — and to connect schools and communities with the latest manufacturing technologies, opportunities, and training programs to prepare the next generation of American workers for good, middle-class jobs.  For the first time in decades, American manufacturing has been getting stronger. And today, it's especially fitting to remember the investments it takes to make sure we keep it strong. That's how we make sure the next generation has better jobs and opportunities than their parents did. You can follow along right here with folks from across the Administration who are on the ground in factories nationwide — and see exactly what modern manufacturing looks like.
